COUNSELING SERVICES SUPPORT FOR NYFA LA STUDENTS - May 28

Updated May 28, 2020

Dear NYFA LA Students,

As we’re entering a new term remotely, I want to make sure I reach out to address mental health and remind you of Counseling Services.

All of us are continually adapting to the changes occurring inside and outside of our living spaces. Some of us are still watching news for any and all updates while others are spending more time turning off media and making their way outside more. You may be considering what’s part of the ‘new normal’. Perhaps the healthy things like long phone calls with people we love, and the unhealthy things like eating just to eat or procrastinating in new ways. Many of us are experiencing all of it, the good and the bad.As Counseling Services, it’s our job to say out loud that “sometimes it’s hard, sometimes it’s complicated, sometimes it’s challenging.” Through all of this, we want to make sure we check-in and remind all of you that we are here for support, a confidential and safe space available, if and when needed throughout your academic career here at NYFA.

Here are some ways we are here to help…
