RESOURCES FOR NEWS AND NEEDED DISTRACTION

RESOURCES FOR NEWS AND DISTRACTION

Dear NYFA New York,

To slow the spread of illness in New York State, Andrew Cuomo, New York State Governor, is directing all New Yorkers, other than those who are essential workers and those in need of urgent medical care, to stay home. New Yorkers who are high risk for severe illness- over 70 years old or with underlying medical conditions--are urged to remain indoors, screen all visitors' temperatures, avoid visiting households with multiple people, and go outdoors only for solitary exercise. New Yorkers who are low risk are being asked to limit outdoor recreational activities to non-contact sports and recreation. These directives will take effect Sunday evening. Grocery stores, food delivery service and public transportation will remain operational.

To stay informed of NYC news, as it emerges, public health organizations' health and travel advisories, and NYC service organizations' responses to the coronavirus pandemic, please take advantage of the resources noted below.

It's also important to take a break from the news! See below for opportunities to tour museums, travel the world, and immerse yourself in quality films without taking one step outside your front door.
