Important: UnitedHealthCare COVID-19 Updates

Hello,

We recognize that with the constantly changing COVID-19 situation around the world, this is an unprecedent time for everyone. The health and safety of our faculty, staff and students is our highest priority.

UnitedHealthcare will waive member cost sharing, including copays, coinsurance and deductibles, for COVID-19 diagnostic testing provided at approved locations in accordance with CDC guidelines for all commercial insured, Medicaid and Medicare members.

The following 2 minute educational video was created in partnership with internal physicians from UnitedHealthcare on how to protect yourself from the COVID-19 virus, and where to seek ongoing updates.

Below, you will find links with more information and resources from The World Health Organization and CDC on COVID-19:

Attached, you will find more resources from the World Health Organization.

Another resource that we would like to share is from our Virtual Visit Providers, Teladoc and Doctor on Demand.

  • Virtual visits can be used as a front line screening for those that are concerned if they have a cold/flu like symptoms and can be referred to further in person screening as needed.

UnitedHealthcare medical team is continuously monitoring the situation and will provide NYFA with updates as needed. Questions - contact UnitedHealthcare directly at 866-414-1959 or visit https://www.uhc.com

NYFA recommends that all faculty, staff and students comply with the CDC, State and Local health directives and view updated health alerts - https://hub.nyfa.edu/health-alert

Best Regards,

Human Resources, NYFA
