Eating on Campus Guideline
|
Effective as of November 29, 2021
Dear NYFA LA Students:
We hope that you are enjoying your on-campus experience. With COVID-19 risk mitigation efforts at NYFA LA proving largely successful, we feel that we can now allow students who are fully vaccinated* with a WHO or FDA authorized vaccine, to eat on campus. For NYFA LA to allow students to eat on campus, the following safety protocols must be followed:
- Eating at any time in classrooms and/or hallways is strictly prohibited. Eating and drinking on campus will be allowed only in the following permitted areas:
- Riverside: 3rd floor common areas at the tables and booths.
- Barham: 2nd floor common area.
- Burbank: Outdoor area in the midway between NYFA and the Burbank Studios commissary.
- Mealtimes should be limited to 30 minutes. Students should promptly dispose of waste and leave the area to allow for other students to use the space.
- Students are highly encouraged to keep physically distanced while eating unmasked.
- Students must put on their masks, covering their nose and mouth, as soon as they have finished eating.
- Being present in a designated eating area does not imply that you may be unmasked. All faculty, staff, and students are required to wear a mask until seated in the designated areas and must put their mask back on as soon as they have finished eating or drinking.
Failure to comply with the guidelines above may result in disciplinary action.
Thank you for following the above guidelines and helping us keep our campus safe.
* Fully vaccinated students who have been exposed to a person diagnosed with COVID-19 are not permitted to eat on campus until getting tested 5-7 days after exposure and until receiving and submitting a negative test result.
* If those with exemptions eat on campus, they risk disciplinary action, including possible revocation of exemption status. |
