NY COVID-19 Health Report

October 14, 2020 1:30pm

Dear NYFA NY Community,

NYFA is committed to keeping our community informed of the incidence of COVID-19 within our community.  We are also committed to monitoring and mitigating within our community the potential spread of SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 illness.

One member of the NYFA community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual has not been present on campus at any time during the infectious period. This individual has, however, had close contact, off-campus, with 5 NYFA community members. All individuals within our community who have had close contact with the individual confirmed to have COVID-19 have been instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days, The individual who tested positive will be isolating until a safe return to in-person activities is possible.

We greatly appreciate the cooperation of those individuals involved in this new case and we shall continue to offer these individuals support and guidance throughout their periods of self-isolation or self-quarantine,

For ongoing updates of the incidence of illness on the NY NYFA Campus, please consult the NY Campus Dashboard.

To help maintain the safety of our community, please also report positive COVID-19 test results to:

Faculty and Staff:  Domingo Morales, Associate Director of Human Resources, Domingo.morales@nyfa.edu

Students: Sandra Schein, Director of Student Health and Wellness, Sandra.schein@nyfa.edu
